NKC BookSpace isn’t your average school book club.
Anytime a club can gain national attention, you’ve got something major on your hands.
The club itself isn’t like the traditional book club. All meetings and discussions are held online instead of those tedious meetings like a regular book club. It acts as if a blogger-like site just without all overly negative comments.
“Fallen” by Lauren Kate is the latest book to be selected by BookSpace.
BookSpace has also made some headway around the district by raising approximately $30,000 in grant money.
Also, last year, the club read the book “Columbine” and set up an online blogging session with the class and teachers that experienced the Columbine, Colo. shootings.
