Junior volleyball phenom Calissa Minatee announced her verbal commitment to the University of Minnesota on Thanksgiving, effectively ending her recruitment that included offers from UCLA, as well as many other power-5 conference schools.

Minatee also serves as a member of Team USA’s National Team Development Program (NTDP), which in it of itself is a prestigious honor, given to only a handful of the nation’s best players.

At the University of Minnesota, Minatee intends on studying Architecture and Interior Design.
