Everyone has lost grasp with the purpose of life. Life isn’t measured in money, grades, or school.
Life is defined by the simple things, like watching sunrises and sunsets, watching clouds wisp by, or watching the stars in the night sky.
Yet, people have diluted the meaning of life.
Some people have become consumed with greed and strive to earn as much money as possible, however, money is simply paper, meaningless paper.
When we realize that we are still empty inside, regardless of the amount of money and things we have, we turn to distractions like addictions, electronics, and hate.
We see people struggle with addictions to alcohol, drugs, and even sex. Or we see people watching television religiously and we see people running around with telephones strapped to their hands as if they are a part of their bodies.
We use these distractions ultimately as scapegoats, anything that will get us sidetracked from the big picture of life.
Do you remember the simplicity of being a child?
Everything was simplistic and entertaining.
As children, we played outside with sticks, rocks, trees and that could keep us entertained for hours.
And as children, everything was insanely big and awesome. The most basic parts of the world satisfied us, and gave us the feeling of “awe.”
But at some time, we lose that childhood innocence and thus we lose that connection that we once had with Earth.
It’s like we’re sleeping and unable to see the big picture that life has painted. For most people, it’s easier to escape reality, than to face it openly.
People wonder why our world is so corrupt and how happiness can be achieved when the answers have been staring us right in the face.
Life is about connecting with the mystery that shrouds life. One will never be truly happy until they reconnect with that mystery.
Life will remain lifeless until you open your eyes and wake up to the “awe” feelings of life.
