The Hornets walked off the field for the last time with their heads held high, proud of the game they played against our rivals, the Winnetonka Griffins.
The boys took home their final win, Oct. 29. 38-7. Scoring touchdowns for the Hornets were seniors Sam Williams, Nick Stockdale, Rocky Burress, and Kevin Webb.
The boys might have been happy for their win, but they were sad about it being their final game.
“It was emotional walking off that field for the last time knowing it was actually the end. I knew that I wasn’t going to be around my brothers or the great coaching staff like I was used to. I wouldn’t trade anything for this season, no matter how it went,” Webb said.
Northtown ended their season with an overall record of 3-7. The season highlights included winning their homecoming game against Truman and their final game against Winnetonka.
