Small town theatre is putting on big time productions here at Northtown.
Northtown Theatre Association, NTA for short, is the “it” club if you love to put on a show. They put on several productions throughout the year, including “How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying” which is currently a Broadway show in New York City.
It takes a lot of effort, practice and dedication on the part of the cast and crew to make this show a success.
“The kids just have a really good time creating and producing theater,” said club leader Randy Jackson. “How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying” will be opening the night of Nov. 10 at 7:30.
Other upcoming events include a group trip to the Missouri Thespian Conference in January and a trip to Chicago in April.
“Being a part of NTA makes me feel important that I can be a part of something so awesome,” said an NTA member.
Being an active member of NTA can not only provide the opportunity to visit other states, but to be presented with scholarship opportunities as well.
It’s not too late to embark on some of these wonderful theatre adventures. Just give your $5 membership fee to Jackson in Room 211 and add the group on Facebook.
