Boys’ and girls’ track ready to run

Freshman Dominic Lopez and senior Sam Vollbrecht push it to the limit during training. Both the boys’ and girls’ track teams this year are hoping to have many people qualify for state as in previous years. The season for track began Feb. 27.

Runners take your mark, get set, go, and get ready for track season! The track season began Feb. 27.

Last year, the team sent multiple athletes to the state track meet in Jefferson City. With having goals set high in the previous year, the coaches have nothing but high expectations for the track team this year as well.

The team’s first track meet will be a dual with Oak Park; it will be held at home on March 20.
