Ready for Graduation?
It’s that time of the year where seniors are buzzing with excitement. They’re counting done the days. It’s time for graduation. This year the set date for seniors is May 14. The graduation ceremony will start at 7 p.m. at the Municipal Auditorium. The Baccalaureate will be held May 12 at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
The seniors are going through many emotions this year. Scared, excited, nervous. Those are just a few. Senior Abbie Mason had some things to say about graduating.
Mason says, “I’m excited to go to college, but nervous at the same time at leaving high school and the familiarity of it.”
Mason will be going to University of Tulsa in the fall.
This is how most of the seniors feel. After you have collected so many friends and people you would call family it would be hard to leave.
Many seniors are going to college in the fall, but others are going to the military and army, while others are going straight into the workforce. The seniors going to college are ready to go, but somewhat jittery because they’re going somewhere new, maybe even in a new state.
Mason said, “I am extremely excited about college because I know I’m going to the college that is right for me and that where God wants me to go.”
The seniors will soon find that their new places are going to be the right place for them. They will find their new environment a great place to be and will be sad to leave that place one day.
