Next cheer season is going to be NKC’s second year of co-ed cheerleading. In case you did not know co-ed cheer is when men and women compete together in a division.

Within the 88 years Northtown has been around, this past school year was the very first year Northtown has ever had a male on the team. The fantastic Adrion Fulton changed that bringing many skills to the squad.

Next cheer season we have a total of 26 people on our team! Three of them are boys, and 23 of them are girls. In addition to Adrion, cheer will have two more guys, Ricardo Campos and Nathaniel Perez.

After talking with Ricardo, he even admitted he didn’t think that in order to cheer you needed to put in much effort. But he says, “it’s harder then it looks.”
