`           The Royals won their game last night with a score of 9-7 against the Seattle mariners at the Century Link field. The first inning had nothing exciting with a straight three outs for the royals and Mariners. The second inning however brought much excitement with the royals loading the bases then Alcides Escobar hitting the first pitch thrown to him by starter Roenis Elias for a grand slam scoring the royals four runs the inning then finished without any more excitement. The mariners then came back scoring seven runs answered by the royals only earning another single run. The seventh inning again brought more excitement with the royals earning four more runs three of which came from a home run by Johnny Giavotella and ending the game with a 9-7 win and are on their way home to play the Colorado Rockies tomorrow at Kaufman stadium.

The game brought much excitement for royals fans with two home runs from Escobar and Giavotella, with Escobars first career grand slam it gives the hope of a good season to come but with the rockies they face a tough opponent with an average of five runs per game and three of the top five hitters in the MLB they are a powerhouse of hitting potential. But the royals have home field advantage and an entire city behind them so lace up your cleats and bring out the bats because its time to get swinging.
